Cemil Cengiz - Founder & CEO, İstanbul
He was born in İstanbul in 1986 and grew up in İcadiye, Üsküdar. As he grew up, he got emotionally attached to the city of whose stories he heard and in whose streets he got lost. He started doing research and observations as a kid.
In the first few years of his school life, his grades were not all that good. It is said that he passed his courses by means of his excellent communication and signaling skills. At the age of 14, he made his first lira in programming and he still is. It was during this period that he tended to improve himself in his future profession, and his school grades were still not good. Although he got placed at the department of business at the university entrance exam, he sat in a talent examination and studied Visual Communication Design as he desired to be good at in a profession in the field of communication. At university, he managed to bring out his real potential by means of all the skills he gained working in many professions ranging from being a tea-boy to a designer. During this four-year period, he worked in various areas such as working on film sets, as a graphic designer, in software companies and directing.
His passion for learning took him to the United Kingdom. Because of the interest he developed in journalism in 2009, first, he studied Global Journalism at Brunel University, and then, he got a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy at School of Oriental and African Studies. His laziness, once again, surfaced during his doctoral education and he quit both of his doctorate studies. While in England, he didn’t have idle hands, he worked in kebab shops, and did many jobs from being a dish washer to a documentary director. He even set up a communication agency called “Sublime Porte” in London. During the years he spent abroad, he recovered from homesickness with the help of Sefa Kaplan’s London poems. When he decided to come back, he did not feel lazy and, thanks to the lorry driver Mustafa, he brought the 2500 books that he could not give up on from London to Istanbul.
After serving as a Consultant at the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 8 years, he founded the communication agency he had been dreaming about in his beloved country. He is, now, an idea hunter in Kuzguncuk, where he was born, he grew up, played jungle ball and creeped up mulberry trees. In Victor Orbis, as the founder and the CEO, he gives “the tape is your honor” treatment to his team with great pleasure. He buffles the ones who enter his room to salute him with quotations from Mevlana to Karl Marx, and enjoys the pride for being a beloved employer to his employees who go quiet with his profound fondness. He has been married since 2012 and has two beautiful daughters.

He was a lively student throughout his school life. Although he got on well with his teachers, he still loved skipping school. It was quite evident, even then, that he was going to be a fan of a tactic and operation-based game like Airsoft. He relied on his energy, listened to his inner-voice and gravitated completely towards the areas he was interested in. First, he had a degree in Visual Communication Design at Istanbul Commerce University, and then a degree in Communication Arts and Design at Beykent University.
During his 15 years of work experience, he worked with popular Turkish brands. He was the most adored name for both his team members and the customers at Gri Creative and Matsiyah advertising Agencies, where he worked as the Creative Director. Mahmut Mutlu - Project Advisor, İstanbul
MM started saying “Not a big deal, I’ll do it myself” at the end of the nineties spent his short pants age by developing his own games and toys. He settled down in a lovely, yet to be discovered village of Istanbul as he could not restrain his passion for nature and the wild life. He is content with his animals. He received and provided training on natural disaster emergency communication and search and rescue. He is still an active search and rescuer.
With the experiences of exportation and business ranging from being a bazaar seller, to opening up a chain store and retailing in hand, he went behind the viewfinder, which had always been a part of his life, as he could not stand his productivity to be restricted. If not in the nature, in the studio but always in the pursuit of producing; speaking strange languages just like himself, a man of the world. The wild himself.

Sedef Olcay Atıcı - Brand Manager and Strategist, İstanbul
She was born in Aksaray in May, 1994. She had the chance to live in various different places in Turkey since her birth due to the job of her parents. Although she believed that this had enriched her life, she was a bit ill-tempered during childhood and adolescence as she had to change cities and schools quite often. She was particularly a problem kid at school and at home during her high school years. Her teachers and other people around her said “Nothing would come out of her”. Taking that seriously, she had never been ambitious. She was just sure that she could achieve anything when and as she desired.

She describes herself as a person that can adapt to any situation. She grabs life and turns it upside down. She turns the other side if she doesn’t like what she sees. She starts all over, if that side fails her again and she preserves the joy of life at all times.

As he spent seven years in an international class, he had desk-mates from Jordan, he cheated from his friends from Iraq, asked for the help of his Palestinian and Syrian friends in Mathematics, he had Saudi Arabian friends who laughed at his jokes and he disrupted the lesson with friends from Egypt and France. He learned to speak Arabic language fluently in this unique atmosphere, but then he lost his own accent. That is why people frequently ask “Are you a foreigner?” when he speaks Turkish. Whenever they start to talk to him in English particularly in tourist attractions and at airports, he assumes the role of a tourist.

Bedriye Zobu - Jr. Strategist and Administrative Assistant, İstanbul
Bedriye Zobu was born in Antalya on a cold day in January, 1998. (But she likes summer more, indeed.) Taking her dreams as her basic motivation in life, Bedriye is a great dreamer.
She had a passion for cinema since early childhood, a passion that she fed with the films she had watched. She is a big fan of Haluk Bilginer (hearts). Willing to become a scenarist, she was acquainted with authorship at an early age. She published her novel ‘Soğuk (Cold)’ on the Web at the age of 15. When she was 17, the book hit the shelves through Epsilon Publishing House. Being unaware that essay contest “The 6th City Antalya with Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar” organized in Antalya was actually for participants at or above age 20, she won an award at the age of 17. (So she proved being an Aquarian by not reading the rules for participation.)
Exactly one year after her first novel, she wrote ‘Vefa (Fidelity)’, the second book of the series. She signed the books of her readers at book fairs in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Antalya, Kayseri and Adana in 2015 and 2016.
She got into the Department of Psychology at Acıbadem University in 2016 and moved to Istanbul. She did internship at Psychiatry Department of Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital and at the Down’s Syndrome Association during her undergraduate education. As her childhood desire to go overseas was matched with Canada, she realized another dream at the age of 20. Her 5-year Canada dream fit into a suitcase and a backpack.
She graduated from the Department of Psychology in June, 2020 quietly due to pandemic and continued her incomplete book project. Her third book, ‘Dokuz Otuz (Nine Thirty)’ hit the shelves in November, 2020. That was the date she crossed paths with Victor Orbis. (smile).
Nowadays, she is getting prepared to realize other dreams with a more colorful map.
Fatih Çavuşoğlu - Editor / Copywriter, İstanbul
He was born on 30 June 1980 in İzmir. (Around the days this biography is being penned his birthday is approaching and he loves chocolate cake.) Although there are rumors saying that he had a saucepan full of dolma for dinner by himself, there are other sources that disapprove this. However, all his followers agree on the fact that he had a “chubby” childhood.
He is closely related to music. He swallowed his first stage dust in a children’s choir, heard the applause and felt the betrayal. His first solo performance was with “Hicran Oku Sinem Deler, Olmaktadır Halim Beter” in Hüseyni makam and invited on a local TV show presented by Zahide Yetiş as a child singer. Like all real artists, he is a bit shy in his bilateral relationships. However, this not the case when he is on stage.
Even though he can easily multiply three-digit numbers in his mind, his linguistic skills are much better than that of his quantitative skills. (It is up to you to do the comparison.) He has always been good with words since his childhood, and he even won a writing competition with his writing “Bıçak yarası geçer, dil yarası geçmez.” Although he worked in many positions throughout his career, his real mission, all through history, has been to create content and produce solid scripts. His first ever parchments, unfortunately, was lost to the fire at the Library of Alexandria and never to be found. Some of the ones that survived to date are displayed at Louvre Museum in Paris. Initiatives to bring them to Turkey is being carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
At first, he is distant with people and a bit wary. Despite his serious and bored looks, he is quite cheerful and witty around the people he knows and trusts. When he was actively interested in politics, he was called “Küçük Demirel” with his sympathetic and whip-smart attitude. On his visit to Demirel’s house on Güniz Sokak, when he says to Demirel “They associate me with you, Sir”, Demirel replies “Keep resembling me, but take good care of your hair.”
When he worked as the Education Director for Yeşilay (Green Crescent), he paid diplomatic visits to Mexica and Kyrgyzstan, and did presentations on Yeşilay’s addiction prevention projects at United Nations in Vienna. He directed joint projects with the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Turkish Armed Forces, and attended the summits on combatting addictions held at the Presidential Complex.
He says “Still too early” to the directors who would like to film stormy life, and puts his signature on new achievements at Victor Orbis.
Semih Hekim - Copywriter, İstanbul

Ferahfeza Erdoğan - Copywriter, İstanbul
She was born in Istanbul in 1995. She grew up in a family that put a great emphasis on literature and books. She graduated from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Marmara University. She has been in the literary world for five years. Her blurbs have been published in journals such as Türk Edebiyatı, Varlık, Türk Yurdu and Genç Sanat. She has always considered to integrate literature with other branches of art. Consequently, she put calligraphy beside literature (currently a student of Sabahattin Nayir). She traced the stories of inks and fountain pens as an extension of the study. She has a modest collection of fountain pens. She knows Ottoman Turkish at intermediate level and she loves to read. She is trying to improve herself in reading manuscripts. Tango has also attracted her as a dance with a story.

So here is her life; its details will mount up as the road grows longer, it will get enriched with these details and this road will always lead to literature…
Mustafa Uçar - Copywriter/Brand Manager, Ankara
He was born in 1981. Even though there are a lot of cities that comes out when investigated, he thinks his mainland is Adana. He had to complete primary school in three cities, so for a long time he thought summers were moving seasons.
He always loved books, not just only their insides, but their covers. When color TV came out, he looked at it with the tip of his eye curiously to see what was going on. He also loved advertising, he started thinking about advertisements from a very young age. In the morning, when the cartoons were over, he cried a lot, he told his mother to draw a career plan in TRT and hand it over. His mother, on the other hand, baked cakes and cookies and tried to calm Mustafa.
Towards the university exam, he decided to study public administration, clogging his ear to his father's desire for him to become a doctor. His goal was not to administer the public, it was enough if he could administer himself. During the first half of his journey in the private sector, he worked on two flagships of two big holdings. He experienced the plaza environment full of excels, reports, big data, regulations, and dress codes. The worst part is, the windows of the plazas didn't open much, and he said he couldn't breathe, and he threw himself out. Besides, for some reason, everyone kept saying that he was not belong there. But where does he belong to?
In the private sector, where he expected to make himself feel like a special person, this time he turned his direction towards marketing, communication, and advertising. He was again with big companies, with thousands of employees, but with a difference, this time he was sitting on the other side of the table. He was very happy to talk about what was on his mind, that people liked it, that ideas developed, and that good things appeared. He always loved team collaboration, probably very impressed with the Voltran he watched in the mornings.
He was never limited to his work. He was interested in theater, wrote stories and poems, compiled books, took great pleasure in singing, worked as an editor and redactor, became involved in the production business, traveled many countries, and spoke extensively with different people, and became an active and unusual fan of Adana Demirspor…
In all of this, his most favorite addiction was learning. He believes he has a spirit of polymath inside.
He intends to inherit this soul for his daughters named Duru and Mavi.
Erdem Özsaray - Art Director, İstanbul
Özkan Çeltek - Art Director, İstanbul
He was born on a hot August day in 1991 in a dry village in Konya, in the middle of a garden of cherries, a fruit that he will come to hate in the future. Özkan was raised by his grandparents who were engaged in farming. As there were no other kids in the village, he made friends with the elderly men in the village’s teahouse, which caused him to grow up as a sentimental person.
Being fond of drawing since childhood, he won the first prizes in poetry and painting contests despite not taking much pleasure in the education life. He had always been successful in his lessons somehow, though he wasn’t a hardworking student. Özkan loved the Painting class the most and his biggest dream was to become an artist. While he wasn’t much backed up by his parents about his dreams, he made plans by himself and entered into the Department of Administration at Marmara University as a first step towards receiving education in fine arts. Following his entrance into this university, which was just a justification for him to move to Istanbul, he started to get prepared for fine arts by receiving classes from a painting workshop in Moda, Kadıköy, where he will fondly live in the future. Özkan worked part-time to pay for the fee of the atelier. Indeed, he has worked in various areas as a tea-maker, barber, a laborer in fruit bazaars, sales person, host, guide in art galleries and as an artist assistant since age 5. While being much skilled, Özkan failed the entrance exam of the faculty of fine arts for 3 subsequent years. But that turned out to be a good thing, indeed. In the meantime, he experienced a self-discovery and got interested in a much contemporary area, the department of graphic design that would enable him to turn his drawings into illustrations, typography and moving graphics. He ranked first in the entrance exam to get into this department at Yeditepe University and graduated with a degree. In his third year, he headed to the Fine Arts Academy in Poland by means of the Erasmus program. He took painting, illustration and poster design classes there. He established wonderful friendships and partied night by night.
Upon graduation, he faced the harsh reality of the agency industry, still, he loved his profession as a graphic designer and enjoyed getting involved in the design process of the digital and printed platforms of various brands. Özkan is currently engaged in illustrations. He has exhibited his illustrations in the group exhibitions of young enterprises like ArTanıt in Tunisia, Tight Aggressive in Istanbul and a leisure center, Arkaoda. Having a great passion for illustrating, Özkan carries around a sketch book at all times.
As he is quite good at skating, you can often see him skateboarding/rollerblading or falling down! on the shores of Kadıköy in the evenings. Özkan is a fan of the Moon Warrior in the Japan anime series. Though he is not much skilled at music, he loves his harmonica which he has been trying for years to improve without any succes. He often keeps working on the theme song of this TV series, despite the pressure of his neighbors.
Hakan Yalçın - Art Director, İstanbul
I first saw the light of day in a cold winter night in Ereğli District of the Black Sea to say hi to a challenging life. I knew I was going to get exhausted but I wasn’t going to give up for sure. Following the nursery, secondary and high school years in the homeland, I did not give university life a much thought and set foot in Istanbul, that was paved with gold so to say and uttered that famous phrase: “Oh Istanbul, let’s see who is greater, you or me?”, but soon I realized it was greater than me. Once entering into Istanbul Aydın University, I tried to study International Trade. Then some light showed up to guide me through the right path. I set off on a new journey with my skills and desire. I just knew that I was going to spend long years for the sake of it. I was now shedding light on emerging brands, new designs and ideas. I have taken part in several projects and completed jobs successfully since 2012. I have improved myself beyond my specialty area and skills. I have kept close track of and reviewed modern designing trends and international studies to broaden my perspective and to create my own way of working and designing. In my opinion, simplicity is the best. The simpler the better, indeed. Apart from by job, I have always had an interest in music since high school years. I just wanted everyone to feel and be aware of the charm of Rock’n Roll. I went to concerts and stage events frequently. Although I am out of practice, I still play music and sing now and then. I am particularly fond of singing in the bathroom. All in all, art and music is with us everywhere. We just need to enjoy what we are doing and what we hear. This is the whole point, isn’t it?
Savaş Mumyakmaz - Motion Designer, İstanbul
Savaş was born in Afyonkarahisar in March, 1984. He spent his childhood there. He believed that he covered long distances on his bike those days. He played single goal post matches with friends, always chose the same team and character in the Atari game, used the Tees electronic experiment kit to program a lie detector and ambulance siren and took piano classes, assuming that the city served as a “garage” for him.
He headed for Izmir St Joseph High School for his middle and high school education. Though he seemed to be good in science, he found an environment that enabled him to exhibit his love for music and literature. He played at poetry recitations and high school concerts. Then he preferred Lyon for his university education and moved there. He completed his undergraduate study in the Department of Computer Sciences and post-graduate study in the Department of Computer Graphics at Claude Bernard Lyon I University. He developed graphic applications for video games in Paris and Marseille.
He assumed a position in iOS applications and interfaces in the fields of mobile trading and banking upon his return to Turkey. He believed this was a wonderful opportunity for him to learn new things every day. Thanks to the driving force of the combination of various disciplines, he continued to seek for the ways to bring visual communication, story-telling, experience and software together.
He takes a walk on the Kadıköy-Bostancı coast in 12.460 steps without even noticing. Finally, he is on the verge of completing the records of the great song album he has been dreaming of seeing on Spotify (Tristan!)
